Food Security and Nutrition

In Northern Kenya, hunger is a harsh reality for thousands of families living in drought-stricken communities. Prolonged dry spells, failed harvests, and loss of livestock have left many unable to meet even their most basic food needs. Malnutrition, especially among children and expectant mothers, continues to threaten lives and futures.

At our organization, we believe that no one should go to bed hungry. Our Food Security and Nutrition Program is built on the promise of hope - to fight hunger today and empower communities to feed themselves tomorrow.

Below are some of the things we do aspire to do in respect to the above:

  • Emergency Food Relief: Delivering staple foods (maize, beans, oil, etc.) to families in crisis.

  • School Feeding Programs: Providing daily meals for children to encourage school attendance.

  • Community Food Banks: Establishing local storage and distribution centers for donated food.

  • Kitchen Gardens & Small-Scale Farming: Training families to grow drought-resistant crops like sorghum and millet.

  • Livestock Support Programs: Supplying fodder, veterinary care, and restocking livestock lost to drought.

Every bag of maize distributed, every seed planted, and every child fed moves us closer to a hunger-free Northern Kenya.

Join us in restoring hope through food, nutrition, and empowerment.
